A letter, not a pitch deck

We run a print shop.
So we built the storefront we wished existed.

A few years ago we started printing books for a handful of content creators — homeschool moms, homesteaders, cookbook authors — out of a small shop in the Pacific Northwest. Not print-on-demand in the Amazon sense. Real books, printed on real production presses, shipped blind from our door to their customer's porch.

It worked. The creators grew. So did we. But every month we watched the same friction repeat: a creator would build a storefront on Stan or Beacons or Gumroad — tools designed for digital downloads and coaching calls — and then duct-tape physical fulfillment onto the side. Orders came in over email. Shipping addresses showed up in CSVs. Nobody's system knew about anyone else's system.

So we built one that did.

Cultivate Shop is the storefront platform we wanted to hand our customers. Digital goods that deliver themselves. Physical books that route directly to our press the moment a customer checks out. One dashboard. One brand — theirs, not ours. Pricing small enough that it doesn't feel like a tax on their own audience.

What we believe

Creators should own their customers. Not rent them from a platform that can change the rules next quarter. Your list is exportable. Your data is yours. If you leave, you leave with everything.

Physical product is not a side quest. If you sell something people hold, the platform you use should treat that as first-class — not as an afterthought bolted onto a link-in-bio tool.

We should only win when you do. Our pricing scales with your sales and caps so you're never punished for growing. A slow month barely costs you anything. A great month stays great. That's the deal, and it keeps us on the same side of the table as you.

Small shops should feel like small shops. When you email support, you're emailing one of us. When something goes wrong with a print run, the person who fixes it is twenty feet from the press.

Your shop should work when you're not posting. We build every storefront for organic discovery — structured data for search engines, AI-readable metadata for assistants, and niche browse pages where new customers can find you without following you on social media first.

Made by people who answer the phone

When you email support, you're emailing one of us. When a print run goes sideways, we're twenty feet from the press. Scale comes later. Care comes first.

Honest infrastructure

Rails, Stripe, Postgres. No proprietary weirdness. If we disappeared tomorrow, your data would still be readable. (We're not going to disappear.)

Proof before promises

We'd rather show you a working product, a real press, and a book on your porch than sell you a roadmap. Our work speaks before we do.
